Waco is situated along the Brazos River and I-35, halfway between Dallas and Austin. The city had a U.S. census estimated 2023 population of 144,816, making it the 24th-most populous city in the state. The city was founded in 1849 by the Huaco Indians that lived on the land in the present-day downtown area. The City is the birthplace of Dr Pepper, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
The Waco Regional Regional Tennis & Fitness Center is a premier sporting venue offering more than just fitness, training, tennis, pickleball, lessons and clinics. In addition to its 18 tennis courts, which host this year's conference championship for the second time (2007), the facility and staff offer community to its members and guests alike to share in their lifestyle goals and leisure.
