BEN TABER
OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from
Colorado Springs, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Character &
Community Male Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending
November 7, 2010.
Taber is a member of the Colorado College cross
country team who holds a 3.67 grade-point average as an
Environmental Science major with a physics concentration.
On campus, Taber co-founded and co-chaired a
CC political club which, among other things, has help to
register over 500 students to vote. His interest in politics
has extended beyond the boundaries of campus as he
has interned with US Senator Mark Udall in Washington,
D.C.
A member of the Pre-Engineering Club as well as the Pre-Law
Society, Taber has been a research assistant for a
Political Science Professor and has also worked part-time during
the school year in campus food services.
Taber has also volunteered at Mann Middle
School.
