CAROLINE
WILLIAMS OF SEWANEE – UNIVERSITY OF THE
SOUTH, a sophomore defender from Chapel Hill, N.C.,
has been selected as the SCAC Field Hockey Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for matches played Monday, September 12 through
Sunday, September 18.
Williams was a key component to the Tiger's third win,
continuing her steady play in the defensive backfield. Currently
the Tigers are giving up just one goal per game, a statistic that
is crucial moving forward. Sewanee relies on
Williams’ interceptions and excellent
one-on-one timing and her success in regaining possession is
critical to the Tiger's offensive system.
