ANDREW GALOW
OF RHODES COLLEGE, a junior guard from Oswego,
Ill., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games
played Monday, January 16 through Sunday, January 22.
Galow averaged 25.5 points, five rebounds, 6.5
assists, and one steal per game while leading Rhodes to victories
over Hendrix and Colorado College last weekend.
In the Lynx’s 60-56 overtime win over Hendrix on Friday,
Galow played all but five minutes of the game,
scoring 25 points on 8 of 17 shooting while adding six assists,
three rebounds and one steal.
In Sunday’s thrilling 71-69 win over Colorado College, Galow scored 26 points and dished out seven assists. He scored the winning basket with a coast-to-coast layup with 0.9 seconds remaining while connecting on 11 of 15 shots from the floor. Galow added seven rebounds and one steal in the win.
For the week, Galow shot 59.4 percent (19 of 32) from the floor while averaging a remarkable 39 minutes per game.
