KRAIG ZIMMERHANZEL OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competitions played through Tuesday, September 15.

Zimmerhanzel earned the honor after finishing atop the leaderboard at the John Bohrmann Invitational.

After posting a first round of 72 (+1), Zimmerhanzel rebounded to post an even-par 71 in the second round, before tallying the lowest round by any golfer in the tournament, 65 (-6).

Zimmerhanzel was nearing the course record of 63 heading into the back-nine, posting a 28 through the first half. With two holes left, a pair of bogies put him just above the mark.

Zimmerhanzel and the Bulldogs took top honors in the competition and will continue their season at the Rhodes College Classic September 19-21 in Memphis, Tenn.
