KRAIG ZIMMERHANZEL OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Smithville, Texas, was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competitions played through Wednesday, April 6th.

Zimmerhanzel won the Southwestern University West Region Invitational by six shots Tuesday at Berry Creek Country Club. After posting rounds of 71 and 72 Monday, Zimmerhanzel closed out the tournament with an even-par 72. Zimmerhanzel, at 1-under, was the only golfer in the 70-player field to break par.

The Bulldogs' Tuesday team score of 298 was the second-best round of the day. After sitting in fourth after two rounds Monday, the Bulldogs tied for third overall (with Mary Hardin-Baylor).
