SUWANEE, Ga. - Behind Dan Rudd's and Allen Smith's top-10 finishes (3rd and 9th respectively), the Southwestern University Pirates placed second overall at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational.

The second place finish was the team's third straight top-five finish (minimum six teams/race). Rudd ran a 27:35 while Smith ran a 27:51 8K.

Elsewhere around the SCAC, Colorado College sophomore Jackson Brainerd was named the SCAC Men's Runner of the Week for the third time in the last four weeks. Brainerd paced the Tigers with a personal-best time of 25:04.12, good for a sixth-place individual finish at the Fort Hays State Invitational.
