ALLISON CONN OF RHODES COLLEGE, a junior shortstop from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 12 through Sunday, April 18.

Conn hit .637 (7-for-11) on the weekend with a .750 on base percentage, five RBI and four runs scored to lead Rhodes to a four game sweep of Sewanee.  Conn was perfect in game one on both Saturday and Sunday, going 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs in Saturday first game, then following up in game one on Sunday with a 2-for-2 performance in which she collected two more RBI and scored another run.

Conn is currently riding a 24-game hitting streak, dating back to March 11, which is the longest hitting streak in Rhodes history and the second longest in SCAC history, behind the 28-game hitting streak of Trinity’s Jamie Williams in 2008.  Conn leads the Lynx with a .415 batting average and a career-best 25 RBI.
