BRITTANY LOSEY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first year right-hander from Schertz, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 16 through Sunday, February 22.

Losey went 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA last week, pitching the Tigers to their first win of the 2009 season, and salvaging a Saturday doubleheader split with Concordia (TX) University.

Losey tossed a complete-game four-hitter in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader, giving up three runs on those four hits – only two of the runs were earned. She held opponents to a .143 batting average in the game, slowing down an offense that pounded out 11 hits in six innings the game before.
