MAGGIE PREWITT OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a senior guard from Mt. Sterling, Ky., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 12 through Sunday, December 18.

Prewitt had an excellent weekend in Centre’s home stand against Birmingham Southern and Oglethorpe. She filled up the stat sheets in the first game against BSC, recording 16 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals as the Colonels beat the Panthers, 64-50. Against Oglethorpe, Prewitt scored 33 points, a season high for a Centre player this year, while also dishing out seven assists as the Colonels erased a 12-point deficit, beating Oglethorpe 77-71.

On the week Prewitt lead the Colonels to a perfect 3-0 record notching one double-double while averaging 23.6 points on 54% shooting with nine assists, 4.6 rebounds and three steals.
