YOSHIMURA OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior
guard from Temple City, Calif., has been named SCAC Women’s
Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, February 4
through Sunday, February 10.
Yoshimura was outstanding offensively this week
as Dallas split two games with Austin College.
Yoshimura averaged 30 points per game
while shooting nearly 60 percent from the field (22 for 37) and 50
percent from three point range (11 for 22). She also averaged 3.5
assists/game two rebounds/game and two steals/game during the
week.
On Friday, Yoshimura scored 26 points on 10 of 16 shooting (62.5 percent) and 5 of 10 from beyond the arc. She also added three rebounds and two steals.
Against Austin College on Sunday, Yoshimura scored 34 points on 12 of 21 shooting and was 6 of 12 from three-point range. She also was 4 of 4 from the free throw line and added two steals.
