KARISSA SPECK OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Artesia, N.M., has been named SCAC Women's Co-Golfer-of-the-Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, April 10.

Speck fired a two day total of 160 (84-76) to claim medalist honors and the top SCAC finisher at the West Region Invitational in Georgetown, Texas at the Berry Creek Country Club. At 16 over par Speck claimed first place by three shots.

Speck led the Pirates to an impressive second place finish in a field of seven teams firing a two day total of 670 (334-336).
