LINDSEY FITZ OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a junior defender from Kingwood, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week beginning September 25th.
Fitz helped a Mountaineers' defense that posted two shutouts over the weekend. Schreiner defeated Austin College and Centenary College by identical scores of 2-0.
Fitz and her squad allowed just six shots from the Ladies in Sunday's contest, none of which were on target.
The Mountaineers are currently second in the league standings and remain unbeaten in conference action with a record of 4-0-1,
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior defender Madee Gallagher of Trinity University and the Tiger defense gave up only one goal on just eight total shots in the two games.
