DANI LOEBLEIN OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore midfielder from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the week beginning October 16th. Loeblein is joined by Trinity University's Chelsea Cole as the winners of this award.
Loeblein led the Mountaineers to a pair of wins last week as the team extended its winning streak to five games.
Loeblein tallied three goals over the weekend, scoring twice in the Mountaineers 5-0 win over Austin College and notching the first score in the 2-1 win over Centenary College.
For the week, Loeblein totaled six shots, placing five on target. She now has four goals in 2017 as Schreiner heads into the final regular season game. The Mountaineers secured the second-seed in the upcoming SCAC tournament and will receive a first-round bye.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior midfielder Brenda Pedroza of Southwestern University scored the game-winning goal in overtime at the University of Dallas to secure the Pirates' spot in the SCAC tournament. Sophomore midfielder Bailey Nimtz of Texas Lutheran University scored the eventual game-winner off of a free kick in the Bulldogs' only game last week.
