SCAC Statement Related to Winter Sports in 2020August 03, 2020LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Presidents Council agreed to meet in September and October to reassess the landscape of college athletics to see if adjustments to the sports schedules should be considered. Following up on an announcement made July 16, and in an effort to plan for spring semester scheduling for fall and winter sports, the league’s Presidents Council also announced that all NCAA competition within the conference has been delayed until January.

SCAC Statement Regarding Alternative Playing Seasons for 2020-21 Academic YearJuly 22, 2020LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – In an announcement made late yesterday, the NCAA Division III Management Council – on a recommendation from the Playing and Practice Season Subcommittee – passed along a legislative proposal that would eliminate traditional and non-traditional seasons for all sports in 2020-21. This legislation, which remains subject to ratification by the Division III Presidents Council, effectively opens the door for fall sports programs to participate and compete in intercollegiate activity during the spring semester.
