KARA BEAUCHAMP OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year swimmer from Sammanish, Wash., has been selected the SCAC Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, January 27.

Beauchamp had a terrific series of races on Saturday during the Tiger's win in their dual meet with UC-Santa Cruz.

Beauchamp opened with a 32.38 breaststroke split on the T.U. "B" medley relay, helping them upset the "A" team entry in a closely contested 1:55.08 to 1:55.34 race.

Beauchamp then reeled off three wins, all SCAC leading performances - a 2:12.97 in the 200 IM, a 4:37.05 in the 400 IM, and a 2:28.58 in the 200 breaststroke.
