SARAI TENERELLI OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior defensive specialist/libero from Prescott, Ariz., has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 5 through Sunday, September 11.

Tenerelli was the difference maker as the 14th-ranked Pirates defeated 10th-ranked California Lutheran, 3-1. She tallied 39 digs in the four-set win while adding 81 for the weekend and averaged 5.79 digs per set at the Cal-Lu-fornia Invitational while Southwestern went a perfect 4-0 at the tournament.
