LINDSEY LUBIANSKI OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore middle blocker from Saint Hedwig, Texas, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, October 27 through Saturday, October 28.
Lubianski finished with 21 kills (2.33/set) and a .444 hitting percentage over nine sets played. She committed just five errors in 36 attempts, as well as recording seven total blocks.
Lubianski was named the Tournament MVP for her performance, and is also the SCAC leader in hitting percentage at .444.
Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore setter Lizzy Counts of Colorado College was voted tournament MVP for her performance at the Spike It Up Classic. She helped the Tigers hit .369 as a team. Senior outside hitter Dani DeWitt of Austin College led the 'Roos with 2.92 kills-per-set and a .345 hitting percentage as Austin College went 4-1 in five matches. She also added a pair of service aces to her stats sheet. Junior outside hitter Jamison Duck of Southwestern University hit an impressive .476 in the Pirates' 3-0 sweep over Our Lady of the Lakes and added 13 kills in the five-set win over St. Mary's. Freshman middle blocker Cailey Young of Texas Lutheran University tallied 13 kills in matches played this weekend at the Tiger Invitational. In the match against Concordia, Young hit an impressive .375 with 6 kills on zero errors to go along with the only solo block of the match.
