LEAH WESSLER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior runner from Ashland, Ore., has been named the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Sunday, September 11th.
Wessler led the Tigers to a third place finish in the Colorado College Invitational last week among a field predominantly made up of NCAA Division II competition.
Wessler finished in 11th place, running her first 6k of the year in a time of 23:34 at 6,000 feet elevation.
The Tigers will compete this Saturday at the Nebraska Wesleyan Woody Greeno Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Emma MacEachern of Trinity University finished second in the OLLU Collegiate Invite, posting a time of 19:11 in the 5k race.
