San Antonio
San Antonio is a major city in south-central Texas with a rich colonial heritage. The Alamo, an 18th-century Spanish mission preserved as a museum, marks an infamous 1836 battle for Texan independence from Mexico. Following the San Antonio River, the miles-long River Walk is a landmark pedestrian promenade lined with cafes and shops. HemisFair Park’s 750 foot Tower of the Americas overlooks the city.
Ron & Genie Calgaard Gymnasium
Trinity's main competition gym was originally opened in 1992 as the Sams Gymnasium. The 1,100 person arena is home to Trinity's men's and women's basketball teams and volleyball team, as well as physical education classes, intramurals and other recreation. In 2017, the facility was renovated with all new basketball goals, resurfaced court, bleachers, Daktronics video scoreboards, and officials’ locker rooms. The state of the art gymnasium has been used numerous times over the years as a host site for Division III NCAA Volleyball and Basketball tournaments, as well as a practice facility for visiting NBA and Division I basketball teams.
