Kyle Kerrigan, DePauw University, Men's Swimming

KYLE KERRIGAN OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Male Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending February 14, 2010.

A senior from Muncie, Ind., Kerrigan is a political science and history double major and one of the men's swimming and diving team captains this year and in 2008-09.

Kerrigan has earned all-SCAC honors in the pool in 2007 and 2008 and is a three-time SCAC Academic Honor Roll selection. He has served as a mentor in DePauw's first-year program and helped DePauw's first-year students with their acclimation to college life and DePauw.

A member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Kerrigan served as executive vice president of the chapter which included overseeing all internal matters. He also is a member of the Gamma Upsilon chapter of the Order of Omega.

Kerrigan has previously served as an assistant youth swimming team coach as well as a lifeguard and instructor and served an internship in the Greencastle Mayor's Office.
