    SUWANEE, Ga. - The symbol of conference supremacy is a 300-pound railroad bell that is awarded annually to the conference program with the best overall sports record for that particular academic year. For a stretch of 12 years - from the early 1990s to the mid 2000s - that bell (with the exception of one year - 2000-01) resided on the campus of Trinity University.

    SUWANEE, Ga. – Rhodes College, on the heels of its third consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference field hockey tournament championship, was rewarded with recognition in all four major postseason awards categories. In exclusive voting by the league’s head field hockey coaches, Katie Faucher was tabbed as SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year, Regan McLaughlin was selected Defensive Co-Player-of-the-Year, Kat Simpson was named Co-Newcomer-of-the-Year and Lynx head coach Jane Wells was honored as Co-Coach-of-the-Year.
