LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The 2017 SCAC softball season continued this week as five of the league's seven teams took to the field and posted a cumulative 4-8 mark.

Southwestern University recorded two of the four wins last week, defeating Hardin-Simmons and Millsaps. The Pirates moved to 2-4 on the season after a pair of doubleheaders.

Schreiner University went 1-1 on the weeks, splitting their games against Sul Ross State University (1-2; 3-1). The Mountaineers are now 4-2 for the season, the only SCAC team above .500.

Centenary College recorded the only other win this week, defeating in-state rival Louisiana College.
