Taylor Dydalewicz, Texas Lutheran University, Women's Basketball - Player of the Week (Week 14)

TAYLOR DYDALEWICZ OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior guard from Dripping Springs, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, February 22nd.

Dydalewicz was huge part of Texas Lutheran's win over Southwestern as they earned a share of the SCAC Regular Season Title and clinched the No. 2 seed, and a bye, at the upcoming SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament. 

Dydalewicz scored a game high 17 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc and 6-of-9 from the free throw line in the victory. She also pitched in six rebound and a steal throughout the contest.  

For the season, Dydalewicz is the SCAC scoring champion for the regular season, averaging 17.9 pts/gm. She is second in the league in three point percentage at 40.6% and fourth in free throw percentage at 79.9%. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior guard Christina Kime of Austin College finished the regular season strong, averaging 17.0 points and shooting 45.8% from the field and 38.5% from three point range in a pair of games against Dallas and Rust. In the game against Rust, Kime scored 19 points and handed out a pair of assists to reach the 400 assist mark for her career. Senior guard Brooke Hagemann of Dallas had a solid week averaging 18.5 points a contest as Dallas went 1-1 over the stretch. The forward shot 50-percent in both games (12-of-24 overall), including a game-high 21 points on "Senior Day" versus Austin College. She was three shy of tying a season-high, and also snatched two of her three steals to help rally the Lady Crusaders in a 47-31 second half. Senior forward Jordan Owens of Southwestern scored 16 points in Southwestern's loss to Texas Lutheran University. Senior center Taylor Hollins of Trinity  scored 12 points to go with a game-best nine rebounds on Senior Night, making the most of her first start this season. Hollins played in 22 points, hitting 4-8 from the field and 4-5 from the foul line.
