from University City, Texas has been named SCAC Volleyball
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
September 8th through Sunday, September 14th.
Lee led the Bulldogs defensively to a 3-1 weekend in San Antonio at the Trinity Invite including a pair of five set wins over Linfield and Puget Sound.
Lee tallied her second and third 30-plus dig performances of the season and also tied a season high with three kills against Linfield. She averaged 6.06 digs/set and also picked up 11 assists.
This is the second time this season that Lee has been named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week, earning the honor in the first weekend of play. Lee currently leads the SCAC in digs per set with 6.11, which is 1.04 more digs/set than the person in second.

Junior
defensive specialist Rachel Fusselman of Austin
College had another strong weekend to help
the 'Roos go 3-1, averaging 4.5 digs and totaling 63 digs for the
weekend, and also recording four service
aces. Freshman defensive specialist Haley
Cubberly of Centenary led the team
with 30 digs in the Ladies' seven matches this weekend including 22
against LeTourneau while averaging 4.29 digs per
set. Sophomore middle hitter Keli Sherwood
of Colorado College led the team with 1.35
blocks per set and was third on the team in kills this past
weekend, leading the Tigers to a 3-2
weekend. Junior middle blocker Olivia Drummond
of Southwestern was named to the
All-Tournament team in San Antonio, posting five blocks and 25
kills with two digs on the weekend. Junior defensive specialist
Shannon Courtney of Trinity led the
Tigers in digs for the weekend, averaging 3.79 digs/set and picking
up a weekend-best 18 digs in the final match of the tournament,
leading Trinity to its third straight
sweep. Dallas did
not nominate anyone. Schreiner was
idle this past weekend.
