Alyssa Dooley of Southwestern University, a freshman outside hitter from Magnolia, Texas, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from October 22nd to October 28th.
Dooley averaged 3.73 kills-per-set after putting away 41 kills with a .326 hitting percentage. The freshman was outstanding against No. 10 Trinity recording a .349 hitting percentage and tallying a match-best 20 kills.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore right side Laney Swan of Colorado College led her team over the weekend with a .467 hitting percentage after tallying 23 kills. Freshman setter Rachel Demerjian led Centenary to a 3-3 week averaging 9.41 assists per set, nearly a whole point above her season average. Senior right-side Jade Shoenberger of Trinity put away 38 kills along with a .313 hitting percentage to lead the Tigers to a 4-0 week. Sophomore setter Kelly Jurden from Texas Lutheran dished out 109 assists last week in addition to seven service aces and three block assists.
