JENNIFER
TINDLE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY,
a junior guard on the
women's basketball team who hails from Canton,
Texas, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female
Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending January 2,
2011.
Tindle, who is also an all-conference
performer in the triple jump for the Pirates' track &
field program, serves as an admissions ambassador for the school.
In this capacity, she gives tours to help recruit prospective
students.
Tindle is also president of Omicron Delta Kappa, a
national leadership honors society, and a member of Alpha Chi Honor
Society and Chi Alpha Sigma.
She tutors accounting and business students and has volunteered at
tax centers in the spring as a member of the University Accounting
Association.
Last summer, Tindle interned at Battelle
Memorial Institute, a contractor for the Department of Energy at
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington. This
spring, she will be interning with PricewaterhouseCoopers in
Houston.
