ETHAN SPILLERS OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS, a senior from Scranton, Ark., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Thursday, December 5 to Sunday, December 8. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 8)
Spillers placed second in both the 100 IM (55.78) and 50 fly (24.02) at the Hendrix College Winter Sprint Invite. He broke two school records at the meet - setting all-time program marks in both the 50 fly and the 100 breast (59.19 in a time trial).
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Wes Scalf of McMurry was the team's high-point earner this weekend, winning the 100 breast (1:00.99) and finishing second in the 200 breast (2:16.83) at Saturday's double dual meet against Austin College and UT-Permian Basin.
