SUWANEE, Ga. -- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected 722 programs across all divisions, including 303 from Div. III., to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2024 semester, including four women's and four men's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference teams.
Colorado College, McMurry University, University of the Ozarks and Trinity University had both their men's and women's programs receive recognition.
The teams were selected on the basis of their Spring grade point averages and represent 17,162 student-athletes. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the fall semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 563 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above.
On the women's side, Colorado College, led by head coach Anne Goodman James and University of the Ozarks led by head coach David DeGeus tied for the 21st-highest GPA among the 163 Division III teams listed for All-America honors, with a 3.70. Trinity University, coach by Cathleen Pruden recorded a team GPA of 3.54 over the spring 2024 semester, while McMurry University led by head coach Mark Jedow, was close behind with a 3.43 team GPA.
The Colorado College men’s squad ranked tied for the third highest among the 140 Division III teams and top among all SCAC programs, posting an impressive 3.82 team GPA. Trinity followed with a 3.60 team GPA, while Ozarks (3.25) and McMurry (3.16) rounded out the SCAC honorees.
