SUWANEE, Ga. – Eight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's and women's soccer programs earned a spot on the 2024-2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Academic team as announced by the organization last week.
The Colorado College men once again held the top spot for all SCAC programs with an outstanding 3.80 GPA, second highest among all 303 men’s programs honored across all three divisions. This marks the 19th consecutive year for the Tigers to earn All-Academic honors and the 25th time in program history.
Joining the Tigers on the men’s side are Southwestern University (3.60 GPA), McMurry University (3.05 GPA) and University of the Ozarks (3.05 GPA).
On the women’s side, Trinity University led the league securing its fourth straight honor with an overall team GPA of 3.58. Rounding out the women’s programs from the SCAC are Southwestern University (3.48 GPA), McMurry University (3.40 GPA) and University of the Ozarks (3.30).
A total of 741 soccer teams (303 men, 438 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year. Of that total, 168 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
