The title was the second in three years for the St. Thomas men's program as the Celts also hoisted the conference hardware in 2023.

St. Thomas opened strong with rounds of 304 (+16) and (301) +13 and led by six shots heading into Tuesday's final round. Trinity closed the gap and even led at one point midway through Tuesday's round, but the Celts stayed composed, closing with a 305 (+17) to seal the win by three shots over the Tigers.

Leading the way for UST was sophomore Antonio Ramirez, who delivered a stellar three-day performance and claimed medalist honors. Ramirez, who had a team-high 13 birdies across the three-day event, saved his best for last, firing an even-par 72 in his final round, which included birdies on the final three holes, to finish at 223 (+7) overall and a two-shot margin for the individual title over his teammate Cameron Curtis.

Curtis, a senior who was the second round leader following a tournament-low round of 70 (-2) on Monday, finished in second at 225 (+9) to earn his second consecutive all-conference accolade.

Ramirez and Curtis finishing 1-2 marked the first time since 2017 teammates have earned the top two spots on the individual leaderboard.

Joining Ramirez and Curtis from St. Thomas on the all-SCAC team was senior Marshall Hatcher who finished tied for seventh at 230 (+14) following his final round 79.

Rounding out the Celts contingent was junior Landon Chau, who finished tied for 17th with a three-day total of 236 and first-year Jesus Del Aguila who tied for 29th with a final score of 243, which included a final round 75 (+3).

Led by junior Carter Code, 12th-ranked Trinity University finished in second place in the team standings with a three-day total of 919. This is the 11th time that Trinity has finished second in the SCAC and the third time in four years.

Code finished in third place individually, shooting a three-day total of 226 (74-73-78) to finish at ten-over for the week. He finished with 11 birdies across the three days and just three shots off the overall conference champion. Graduate student Jacob Mason shot a 73 on Tuesday, earning himself a fifth place finish with a total of 229 (84-72-73). Mason recovered well from a difficult first round, recording six birdies and shooting just one-over across Monday and Tuesday. This is his fourth consecutive season finishing in the top 10 at the SCAC Championships. Neel Sandhu also secured a top ten finish after shooting a score of 231 (75-77-79) across the tournament. Sandhu was just two shots outside the top five and improved on his 15th place finish at last year's event.

Rounding out the final team standings, University of Dallas and 13th-ranked Southwestern University finished tied for third with three-round totals of 947 (+83). Senior Rex Soulliere earned his third all-SCAC honor in four years, finishing at 231 (+15) and tied for ninth to lead the Crusaders. Senior Bryce Stiemert finished in fourth place at 227 (+11) to pace the Pirates, who moved five places up the team standings on Tuesday.

Texas Lutheran University finished fifth for the second consecutive year, ending this year's event with a team score of 949 (+85), while defending champion Schreiner University was sixth at 956 (+92). Concordia University (Texas) finished seventh at 958 (+94), McMurry University was eighth with a team total of 964 (+100) and Centenary College finished ninth with a 978 (+114).

The SCAC will send its conference champion to the NCAA tournament via an automatic berth, with St. Thomas earning that distinction and trip to Midvale Country Club in Penfield, NY for this year's championship, May 20-23. Other conference teams and individuals will await word of at-large selections when the NCAA makes that announcement on Monday, May 12.
