SCAC Cross Country Championship - Official Website
The league's 22 cross country teams are preparing for the SCAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship, which is being hosted by Centenary College and will be run at South Bossier Park in Bossier City, about a 25-minute drive from the Centenary campus.
The races will be held on Saturday, November 2 with the women's 6K race scheduled to start at 9:00 am CT and the men's 8K to follow at 10:00 am CT. With the additions of Concordia University (Texas), McMurry University and University of the Ozarks to the SCAC, there will be 11 men's and 11 women's teams competing at this year's meet - creating the largest fields on both sides since the 2011 championships. Football - Week 8
Texas Lutheran improved to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in league play after the Bulldogs handed McMurry (4-3, 4-1) its first loss in league play last weekend, defeating the War Hawks at home, 28-6. The Bulldogs are off to their best start since 2019 when they opened the season 7-1. Centenary won its second-straight contest, improving to 4-4 on the year, 4-2 in SCAC play after knocking off Austin College (1-7, 1-5), 41-21, last Saturday in Shreveport. Golf - Week 7
The fall portion of the SCAC golf schedule is winding down as six men’s programs and five women’s programs competed at the UD Crusader Cup hosted by Dallas this week. On the men’s side, Texas Lutheran took home top team honors to pace all league squads, while Dallas’ runner-up finish led the way on the women’s side. Men's Soccer - Week 9
Going into the final regular season weekend of SCAC Men’s Soccer, both Trinity (13-0-3, 8-0-1) and Colorado College (13-1-3, 8-0-1) have both secured a spot at the conference tournament in Houston slated to get underway with semifinal fixtures on Friday, November 8. The battle for the final two tournament spots will take place this weekend as just five points separate Concordia (9-4-3, 6-3-0), currently sitting in third with 18 points and Austin College (6-10-2, 4-4-1) sitting in seventh with 13 points. Women's Soccer - Week 9
Trinity (12-1-2, 8-0-0) is the lone squad to clinch a spot in the SCAC Tournament going into the final weekend of regular season action after the Tigers extended their unbeaten streak in league play to 32-straight fixtures dating back to 2021 after securing wins over Schreiner (3-11-1, 2-6-0) and St. Thomas (6-7-2, 2-6-0) last week. Going into the weekend, Southwestern (9-5-1, 7-1-0), Concordia (8-6-2, 6-1-1), Texas Lutheran (10-5-1, 6-2-0) and McMurry (9-5-2, 5-1-2) are all still alive for a spot in the postseason tournament. Swimming & Diving - Week 3
The SCAC Swimming & Diving season continued last week, with five men’s and five women’s programs in action. On the men’s side, Southwestern took home top honors at the Celt Classic and Centenary defeated Millsaps in a dual, while on the women’s side, the Pirates finished second at the Celt Classic and the Ladies also earned a dual meet victory over the Majors. Volleyball - Week 9
Trinity (18-6, 10-1) and Colorado College (15-8, 10-2) sit alone atop the Gold and Blue Divisions respectively going into the penultimate weekend of regular season action. The Texas Tigers picked up wins last week in league play over Southwestern (18-3, 8-2) and Concordia (7-13, 2-7), while the CC Tigers secured wins against McMurry (11-11, 6-5), Dallas (1-23, 1-10) and Centenary (1-19, 0-11). SCAC competition continues this weekend, highlighted by Austin College (15-10, 7-3) takes on McMurry on Thursday and Southwestern battles Texas Lutheran (14-7, 6-3) on Friday.
