SUWANEE, Ga. – University of Dallas senior center Jack Boyle was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the week of January 23rd, it was announced on Tuesday by D3hoops.com.
Boyle lifted the Crusaders into a spot for the upcoming SCAC Tournament with a pair of wins over Ozarks and Centenary at home to close out the regular season. Boyle averaged 15.0 points on a spectacular 70.6 percent shooting and grabbed an astounding 19.5 rebounds per game, including a 22-rebound performance in the win over the Gents. Boyle, who leads the SCAC in assists per game, also added 5.0 assists per game, swiped 3.0 steals per contest and blocked 4.0 shots per night. Boyle’s efforts have helped Dallas rattle off five-straight wins to close out the regular season to clinch a spot in the conference tournament, the lonest win streak for the program since the 2018-19 season and the lonest such streak of conference only contests in program history in the SCAC.
Boyle currently sits among the league leaders in several statistical categories going into the SCAC Tournament including first in both rebounds and assists per game at 14.0 and 5.4 respectively.
Earlier this week, Boyle was also named SCAC Player of the Week.
The Team of the Week is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 28th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Boyle is the third SCAC men’s student-athlete to earn D3Hoops.com National TOTW recognition this season, joining Schreiner’s Kamden Ross and St. Thomas’ Angel Johnson. He is the first UD student-athlete to earn national recognition since Spencer Levi was honored in 2017.
