Kimberly Burch, University of Dallas, Women's Golf - Character & Community

KIMBERLY BURCH OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior on the women’s golf team from Dublin, Calif., has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Character and Community Female Athlete of the Week for the week beginning February 17.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Kimberly has been laying the foundation of the Dallas women’s golf team since joining in 2021, now entering her final season as a senior in 2025. On the course, her precision, composure, and unwavering dedication have made her a leader and role model, fostering a culture of perseverance, integrity, and teamwork.

Beyond the fairways, Kimberly is equally impactful. She has a deep passion for service, dedicating her time to helping those who are less fortunate. Whether volunteering at shelters, organizing fundraising events, or working with Feed My Starving Children projects to support underserved communities, she uses her platform to make a difference. Her compassion and commitment extend beyond golf, inspiring those around her to give back and uplift others.

She is shaping not only her team’s success but also the lives of those she touches, proving that true leadership goes beyond competition—it’s about using one’s talents to create meaningful change.

“It’s really important to us to give back," said Burch. "It is not only a good opportunity for us as a team to kind of bond and build relationships with each other, but it’s important for us because we know we are incredibly fortunate.”
