Maggie Dabadie Selected Southwestern Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach

GEORGETOWN, Texas
 -- The Southwestern University Athletic Department has announced its next Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach to lead the Pirates program. 

Maggie Dabadie joins the Southwestern University staff after spending the past two seasons as the Head Women's Tennis Coach at Hendrix College. As a first-year head coach in 2022-2023, Dabadie led the Warriors to a 6-13 record and an appearance in the Southern Athletic Association conference tournament. In her two years at Hendrix, she guided two All-SAA selections and three SAA Players of the Week. 

"I am honored to be the next head tennis coach at Southwestern University, I am committed to cultivating a culture for the student-athletes to excel on and off the court. I am excited to lead this talented team and continue the tradition of excellence Southwestern University has built".

"We are excited to welcome Maggie Dabadie to Southwestern University. We are very impressed with her work as a Head Coach and her career as a Division III tennis player. I know her dedication to Southwestern Tennis will be extremely high," says Associate Director of Athletics, Billy Porter. 

Dabadie played her collegiate tennis at Millsaps College where she was a three-year captain for the Majors. Throughout her playing career, she was a four-time All-SAA honoree and was named the SAA Conference Tournament MVP in 2021. Dabadie left the Majors program as the second person in Millsaps Women's Tennis history to eclipse one hundred wins. A 2020 graduate, she earned her Bachelor of Administration in Accounting and her Master of Accountancy from Millsaps in 2021.
