AUSTIN, Texas – Concordia University Texas Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics, Ronda Seagraves, is proud to announce Amy Farber Teal as the new head coach of the Tornados volleyball program. With over 30 years of coaching experience, including 17 years at the NCAA Division I level, Teal brings an extensive track record of success, leadership, and a passion for athlete development.
"I am excited to announce the hiring of Coach Amy Teal as our next volleyball coach. Throughout the search process Coach Teal met with many campus leaders and they were impressed with her coaching experience, dedication to upholding the University mission and values, and passion in working with elite volleyball athletes.”, said Seagraves. "Coach Teal will make a great addition to the athletic department and will fit right in with her strong work ethic and commitment to the student-athlete experience."
Teal has achieved six NCAA tournament appearances, numerous conference championships, and national recognition for her recruiting and coaching expertise. As the founder of GAME FACE Mindset™, she specializes in building mental resilience, focus, and confidence in athletes.
Also excited for Teal's hiring is Concordia Texas' residing President & CEO, Dr. Kristi Kirk, who stated, "We are thrilled to welcome Amy Teal to our team at Concordia Texas. With her extensive coaching experience in the central Texas volleyball community and deep commitment to athletic excellence, student success and our Christian Values, we are confident that Amy will lead our volleyball program to new heights. Upon the announcement of her hiring, Teal's message was as follows, "I am deeply honored and excited to accept the position of Head Volleyball Coach at Concordia University. This is an incredible opportunity, and I am thrilled to join a university with such a rich tradition of excellence and a strong sense of community.
First, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to former Head Coach Nicole Dalby for allowing me to work with the program this past season as their Mental Training Coach and for the lasting impact she has had on this program. Her dedication and passion have set a high standard that I am committed to building upon.
I also want to thank Athletic Director Ronda Seagraves and President Dr. Kristi Kirk for their confidence in me and their unwavering support of Concordia Athletics. Their vision and commitment to student-athletes' success both on and off the court are truly inspiring.

In her personal life, Coach Teal is a devout Christian dedicated to exemplifying her faith through coaching. She is married to her husband Kirk, and they have four adult children: Allana, KJ, Kameron, and Kara.
