AUSTIN, Texas -- To cap her illustrious career, Colorado College women's basketball senior Zoë Tomlinson is the second player in program history to be named a two-time Academic All-American. Announced on Wednesday, the College Sports Communicators named Tomlinson a First-Team selection, joining Debby Nalty ('84) as a two-time Academic All-American honoree. FULL RELEASE

Last season, the New York native joined Nalty and Melanie Auguste as the only players in program history named Academic All-Americans.

Tomlinson carries a 3.95 GPA and will graduate this spring with a degree in Mathematical Economics.

This year, she was the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Elite 19 Award winner, given to only one player per sport for academic and athletic excellence. Tomlinson was also the SCAC Player and Defensive Player of the Year.

Tomlinson was named WBCA and D3Hoops.com All-American selections after leading the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history and a SCAC Blue Division Championship.

“What an amazing capstone honor this is for Zoë," head coach Katherine Auguste said. "Being named an athletic and academic All-American once is special, and having it happen two years in a row is truly an extraordinary accomplishment. Zoë makes it look easy, though we all know this is far from the case. The hard work, dedication and competitive excellence she has demonstrated throughout her collegiate career is next-level and something to be celebrated. Zoë, along with her teammates and their dedication, has elevated our program on and off of the court. We are all very proud of her!"

She will end her Tiger career as the second-leading scorer and all-time leading rebounder in program history. Tomlinson has the school record for most rebounds in a season and scored the second-most points this year.

Tomlinson was also a finalist for the Josten's Trophy, given to the best player in DIII basketball.

This season, Tomlinson averaged 22.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 2.11 assists and 1.11 steals per game.
