ATLANTA, Ga. – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2024-25 NCAA Division III Coaches' All-American Team on Wednesday and a trio of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes earn recognition. Complete Release
Colorado College’s Zoë Tomlinson earned First Team All-American honors to headline the group, while McMurry University’s Emily Holland and Texas Lutheran University’s Kailee Mulkey secure Honorable Mention All-America accolades.
Selected and voted on by member coaches of the WBCA in NCAA Division III, these student-athletes represent the most outstanding basketball players across America in their division.
This year marks the eighth time in SCAC history the league seen multiple student athletes earn WBCA All-American honors in the same year, but the first time in league history to secure three honorees. The previous seven occasions the SCAC has seen multiple student athletes earn WBCA All-American honors are, 1999-00, 2002-03, 2004-05, 2006-07, 2008-09, 2017-18 and 2019-20. Historically, the three SCAC selections mark the, 95th, 96th and 97th individual All-American accolades in SCAC women’s basketball history.
Tomlinson is making her third-straight appearance on the WBCA All-American team, elevating to the First Team for the first time in her career after securing Honorable Mention honors the previous two seasons. She is the first SCAC athlete in women’s basketball history to secure three All-American honors from the WBCA. Tara Rohde of Trinity, Liz Bondi of former SCAC member DePauw and Bryce Frank of Austin College are the only other athletes in league history to earn multiple WBCA All-American accolades with two each. Tomlinson is the first SCAC athlete to earn First Team honors since Frank was selected to the team during the 2018-19 season.
Tomlinson, a two-time SCAC Player of the Year and Jostens Trophy Finalist, led the Tigers to a program record 23 wins and their second-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The senior led the team with 22.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game.
The New York native became the all-time leading rebounder in CC and SCAC history with 1,280 career boards and is currently second in program history with 1,696 career points.
Holland, a senior from Mansfield, Texas, earned Honorable Mention accolades after helping lead McMurry to a historic season. She led the team in scoring, averaging 14.0 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting and added 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. Her 14.0 points per game were good enough for 10th in the SCAC.
A First Team All-SCAC selection, Holland led the War Hawks to a 23-6 record, the program’s first 20-plus win season since 2008-09 and the most wins since McMurry won 25 during the 2007-08 season. She also helped the program earn an at-large (Pool C) bid into the NCAA Tournament, the first appearance for McMurry since the 2008. Holland and the War Hawks picked up wins over Cal Lutheran and SCAC foe Texas Lutheran to advance to the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2000 before ultimately falling to Gustavus Adolphus.
Mulkey, a senior from New Braunfels, Texas is the first Bulldog in program history to earn HM All-American honors from the WBCA. A three-time First Team All-SCAC honoree, Mulkey led Texas Lutheran in scoring with 12.9 points and steals with 2.8 per game and finished with an average of 6.9 rebounds per game, leading all SCAC guards. She scored in double figures in 21 of her 29 outings including three 20-point games along with a team-high six double-doubles. Nationally, Mulkey finished 27th in steals (80) this season, with her 80 steals ranking the second most in a single-season in program history.
Mulkey is just the third women's basketball player in Texas Lutheran history to garner All-America honors, joining Chantel Mize (NAIA, 2000) and Taylor Dydalewicz (DIII News, 2015).
Mulkey concludes her career as Texas Lutheran's fifth all-time leading scorer with 1,196 points and the program's all-time leader in steals in the program's NCAA history (224). She also finishes eighth in the program's NCAA history in assists (197) and third in rebounds (576). The senior guard became the second Bulldog in program history to record over 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.
Texas Lutheran finished its season with a 24-5 (.828) overall record for what is by any metric the best season in program history which included a 14-2 SCAC mark, the most wins since joining the conference in 2013-14, a SCAC Gold Division Co-Championship, winning the 2025 SCAC Tournament, and picked up the first NCAA Tournament win in program history.
