Men's XC Recap (Week 3) - Around the SCAC

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Four of the eight SCAC men's cross country teams were in action this past weekend.

Austin College
The Austin College men competed at the UTA Gerald Richey XC Invite in Arlington, Texas this past weekend. The 'Roos finished sixth overall led by Patrick McByebe with a 24th place finish and a time of 17:20. Octavio Zarranga followed him up with a 28th place finish and a time of 18:03 while Alex Berghorn finished 33rd with a time of 20:00. The 'Roos will return to action in two weeks as they compete in the HSU Stampede Invitational. 

Centenary College
The Centenary Gents competed at the Lois Davis Invitational in Magnolia, Ark., finishing seventh on the day. Andrew Borel paced the Gents with a time of 33:54 to finish 37th overall. Greg Simmons posted a time of 34:21 to capture 39th with teammate Kellen Bullock in 40th with a time of 34:41. Centenary returns to the course next weekend at the Mook 5 hosted by Louisiana Tech.

Colorado College
Led by senior Nick Hall, the Colorado College men's cross country team ran to a fourth-place finish at the season-opening Rust Buster Invitational Saturday, hosted by UCCS. Hall, who paced CC in every race last season, finished the 6K collegiate race at North Monument Valley Park in 10th place overall with a time of 20 minutes and 11 seconds. Senior Sam English posted CC's second-best time of the day with a 22:09, good for 29th place. Freshman Ben Moscona-Remnitz finished his first collegiate race in 37th place with a time of 22:22. The Tigers host the CC Invitational at North Monument Valley Park next weekend.

University of Dallas
The University of Dallas finished fourth out of six teams at the UTA Gerald Richey XC Invite in Arlington, Texas. Ryan McAnany played 12th overall with a time of 16:17 while Javier Secaira finished 23rd overall with a time of 17:16. Shortly behind him with Jack Grubner, who finished 25th overall with a time of 17:34. The Crusaders return to action next weekend as they compete in the East Texas Invite in New Summerfield, Texas. 

Schreiner, Southwestern, Texas Lutheran, and Trinity did not compete this weekend.
