SCAC announces Spring 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll
June 23, 2010SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 1,077 student-athletes to the 2010 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 1,029 student-athletes.

Filander Named ’Roo Women’s Hoops Coach
April 30, 2010SHERMAN, Texas – Michelle Filander has been named the new head coach of the Austin College women’s basketball program, vice president for Student Affairs and Athletics Tim Millerick has announced. Filander comes to Austin College from Washington & Jefferson College, where she served as an assistant coach for four seasons. She will also serve as the Senior Women’s Administrator at Austin College.

DePauw Wins Fifth Consecutive SCAC President's Trophy
April 28, 2010SUWANEE, Ga. - With spring championships in women's tennis and women's golf - in addition to second-place finishes in men's and women's track & field, baseball and men's tennis - DePauw University cruised to a 127.5 point victory in the race for the 2009-10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference President's Trophy. It is the fifth consecutive all-sports trophy for the Tigers.

Hunter Steps Down as Austin College Women’s Basketball Coach
March 11, 2010SHERMAN, Texas – After 11 seasons on the sidelines at Austin College, head women’s basketball coach Deb Hunter is stepping down from that position due to health reasons. Hunter’s team recently completed a season in which it went 18-8 and she was named both the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and Russell Athletic/WBCA Region 5 Coach of the Year.

Austin College's Williams becomes SCAC All-Time Leading Rebounder
February 06, 2010SHERMAN, Texas – Austin College senior forward Katy Williams scored 31 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, breaking the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference career rebounding record in the process, as the ’Roo women’s basketball team topped Colorado College 87-70 on Saturday afternoon. The ’Roos are now 15-6 overall and 9-3 in conference play.

February 02, 2010SUWANEE, Ga. - Centre and DePauw both picked up a pair of road victories over the weekend defeating Austin and Colorado Colleges respectively. With the wins, both the Colonels and Tigers clinched their spots at the 2010 SCAC Basketball Tournament in Jackson, Mississippi. Centre is now riding a three game winning streak while DePauw pushed their streak to a league high 13.
