Saturday's contest kept the Pirates on their toes as Birmingham-Southern brought an uptempo, run and gun style into the Robertson Center. SU went into the break down 17 points, 52-35, and the Panthers maintained the uptempo style and pushed the spread to 19 points. The Pirates were able to pull within 15 at one point, but BSC quickly pushed back and maintained the lead to take the win. With the losses Southwestern falls to 8-12 overall and 4-7 in the SCAC. They stay at home for two games this coming weekend, Friday against Millsaps and Saturday against Hendrix.
