MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Austin College senior Katy Williams, Hendrix College junior Christina Byler and Rhodes College senior Becky Atnip earned postseason recognition as the trio each earned a spot on the  2010 D3hoops.com All-Region teams, the website announced this afternoon.

Williams was named to the All-South first team while Byler and Atnip were named All-South second team honorees.

Williams, the 2010 SCAC Player of the Year, averaged 16.2 points per game (5th in the SCAC). She also led the league in rebounding with 13.3 rebounds per game. Williams also became the SCAC's all-time leading rebounder as well.

Byler was named All-SCAC first team after averaging a league best 17.3 points per game. She also ranked in the top five in the league in rebounding (9.1 per game), free throw shooting (90.2 percent - 1st) and 3-point shooting (36.6 percent - 4th). Byler was named to the 2010 SCAC All-Tournament team as well.

Atnip was a second team All-SCAC selection while averaging 16.6 points per game (2nd in the SCAC) and shooting 86.6 percent from the free throw line (2nd in the SCAC). She also averaged 3.6 rebounds per game and 2.2 assists per game.
