Oglethorpe women set new SCAC single-game rebounding record

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Oglethorpe women had four players pull down double-digit rebounds en route to a SCAC single-game team record 78 boards in Saturday's 90-75 victory over Sewanee. Box Score

Sarah Giles grabbed 16 rebounds off the bench to lead the Petrels. Kaci Palmor added 15 rebounds followed by double-digit efforts from teammates Taymah Jones (14 rebounds) and Katie Weeks (11 rebounds).

Oglethorpe had 25 offensive and 53 defensive caroms in totaling their school and conference single-game record 78 rebounds. The 78 boards are seven more than the previous SCAC single-game record set by Hendrix College against University of Dallas on November 26, 2005.

Sewanee also set a conference record for most three-point field goals attempted in a game. The Tigers launched it 45 times from beyond the arc, besting the single-game conference mark of 43 that the 2007-2008 Sewanee team set against Trinity on February 29, 2008.
