KYLIE HUNT OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior goalkeeper from Fort Worth, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played the week of Monday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 29th.
Hunt played all 110 minutes in a scoreless draw against Texas Lutheran University Friday to end the Pirates regular season competition.
Hunt racked up 12 saves in the game, including seven in the second half of the game and two in overtime. The Pirates were outshot 26-5, but were able to keep the Bulldogs off the board.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman goalkeeper Maya Erwin of Austin College led the 'Roos to a scoreless draw against Centenary College, recording five saves in the contest. Junior defender Aubrie Wells of Texas Lutheran University led the Bulldogs' defense to draw against Southwestern, allowing just five shots by the Pirates. Freshman defender Lilah Bevins of Trinity University led the Tigers to a 3-0 win over Schreiner last week, giving up just two shots all game.
