WINNECONNE, Wisc.
- Colorado College's Leah Wessler finished 78th in a field of 280 individual entries at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country championship meet Saturday morning at Lake Breeze Golf Club. Official Results

Wessler, the two-time reigning SCAC Runner-of-the-Year, clocked in with a finish of 22:12.5 along the 6K course while her teammates Katie Sandfort (22:20.3) and Allysa Warling (22:34.2) came in 97th and 134th, respectively.

"We had an outstanding day," said Colorado College head coach Ted Casteneda. "Our three runners represented Colorado College very well today. It was just the second time this year that those three runners all finished under 23 minutes. The entire coaching staff is very proud of them."

Williams College claimed the team title and Abrah Masterson of Cornell College claimed the individual championship.

"This was a great way to finish our season," Castaneda said. "And with no seniors this year, our goal is to send our team to the national meet next season."

The SCAC's fourth representative, Trinity University's Emma MacEachern, was physically not at 100 percent and finishined in 236th place in a time of 23:17.4.

"In cross country, there are always things we can't control," said Trinity head coach Emily Daum. "For Emma, that was getting sick the day before nationals. I'm extremely proud of the toughness she showed today as I'm not sure if she would even be able to race given the condition she was in."
