GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trinity University Women's Swimmer Emma Hagan has been named a Third Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communications (CSC).

Hagan is the third Tiger women's swimmer to earn the award and the first since Katie Sheldon in 2014. To earn All-America status, student-athletes must first be tabbed All-District honorees, before advancing to the national ballot where CSC Members vote to the national ballot for Academic All-America teams. The senior from Overland Park, Kansas posted a 3.90 cumulative grade point average as a psychology major.

In the pool, Hagan also was named All-SCAC and qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200-yard butterfly, 100-yard butterfly, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay, and 400 medley relay. Emma also broke her own school record at the SCAC Championships with a time of 2:02.25 in the 200 butterfly. Hagan was a part of the 400 free relay team that finished with a time of 3:26.85, which ranks second in school history.
