This year marks the seventh title in CC’s program history, tied for second on the league’s all-time list with Rhodes College. DePauw University holds the all-time SCAC record with nine team titles. In what has become an annual battle of the Tigers, Colorado College finished with its second largest margin of victory in program history, outpointing Trinity 16-43. The 16 total points from the CC Tigers is the fourth fewest points in SCAC Championship history.

Accetta, who finished the 6k course on a muggy humid day in a time of 23:13.62, is now a three-time All-SCAC performer having earned third in 2021 and sixth in 2020-21.

Eight more CC runners earned All-SCAC honors, including junior Elliot Singer, who finished runner-up (23:23.47) after earning the individual title in the two previous championships. Sophomore Allison Mueller-Hickler improved two spots from her rookie performance last year to finish third (23:46.11) and first-year Willow Lott earned Newcomer-of-the-Year accolades for being the highest finishing first-year runner after crossing the line in fourth (23:50.53).

Rounding out Colorado College’s all-conference contingent was sophomore Ella Fullerton who finished sixth (24:01.19), sophomore Sky Theodosopoulos who finished ninth (24:04.52), sophomore Liz White placed 10th (24:04.90), first-year Charlie Flint finished 11th (24:05.89) and first-year Mary Cate Kiser crossed in 14th (24:22.92). The all-SCAC honors are the second career recognitions for both Fullerton and White.

The remaining five all-SCAC slots were occupied by Trinity runners led by sophomore Allison Fortman who finished fifth with a time of 23:56.35. Senior Madison Habeck, who claimed her fourth all-SCAC honor, took home seventh (24:02.78). First-year Cali Good placed eighth (24:04.11), graduate-student Paige Tangney finished 12th (24:07.79) and senior Elli Catron took home 13th (24:08.43) to round out the Tiger all-SCAC performers. Catron earned her third-straight all-SCAC honor, while this marked the second all-conference performance from Tangney.

University of St. Thomas posted its third third-place finish in the last four championships with 90 total points. The Celts were led by senior Sophia Sanchez, who finished 18th – the highest finish of any non-Colorado College or Trinity runner, in a time of 24:42.95. The host school, Texas Lutheran University was fourth with 124 total team points. The Bulldogs were paced by first-year Mackenzie Combs, who was 35th-place in a time of 26:10.61.

Southwestern University, led by sophomore Breanna Steele’s 25th-place finish, was fifth with 130 points and University of Dallas got a team-best 59th-place finish from first-year Teresa Cashen to finish sixth with 189 points. Schreiner did not have enough runners to score but was led by junior Malanie Gonzales who finished 63rd in a time of 31:03.08.
