SCAC Announces 2014 Winter All-Sportsmanship Teams

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its sixth annual winter All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 28 student-athletes were selected to the 2013-14 squad in the sports of men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s swimming & diving and women’s swimming & diving.

Last year, the SCAC office developed and introduced a new sportsmanship-themed campaign, “Cheer Hard, Play Harder, Respect Everyone,” and created PSAs and videos that were distributed throughout the conference. These pieces continue to be played during conference-produced video-streamed championship activities and have also been promoted nationally through the NCAA Division III Twitter account and Facebook page.

Of the 28 honorees, 11 earned All-SCAC recognition in his or her respective sport during the 2013-14 championship season.
