LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- All seven of the league's men's golf teams were in action this past week, with five of the seven competing at the SCAC Conference Preview at Vaalar Creek Golf Club in Blanco, Texas.

The Trinity men finished off its third team win in four tournaments at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Preview on Tuesday, led by individual winner Daniel Nunez. Trinity shot a team score of 294 on Tuesday, which followed the tournament-low score of 290 on Monday. No other team shot below 300 in either round. The Tigers finished 23 shots ahead of second-place Texas Lutheran, followed by Southwestern in third. Nunez finished the tournament with a three-under score of 141 (69-72) and was six shots ahead of the three players tying for second place individually. He led all players in the field with 10 birdies over 36 holes and he was also the tournament leader in par 5 scoring.

Led by Matthew McArthur's second-place finish, Texas Lutheran moved up a spot in the SCAC Conference Preview standings to grab a runner-up team showing.The Bulldogs shot a final-round 302 on Tuesday at Vaaler Creek Golf Club to finish eight shots clear of third-place Southwestern. TLU trailed Southwestern by two shots entering the final 18 holes. McArthur, who carded rounds of 75 and 72, finished tied with Trinity's DJ Springer and St. Thomas' Nick Morris for second but claimed runner-up status by way of a scorecard tiebreaker with the two.

Southwestern placed two in the top 10 to finish third at the SCAC Preview with a two-day score of 615. Christian Rodriguez remained steady, matching his first-round score of 75 to finish with a final of 150 to finish tied for eighth, recording eight birdies. Colin O'Hern fell off his first-round pace by six strokes, shooting a 79 to finish at 152 in a tie for 10th, making par 24 times.

Led by Nick Morris' strong showing St. Thomas finished in fifth place at the SCAC Preview with team rounds of 316 and 314 (+54). Morris finished tied for second among individuals, shooting three over for the tournament with rounds of 71 and 76. Schreiner was once again led by sophomore Jake Sitterle and finished in sixth in the team standings at +81 (330-327). Sitterle placed 22nd among individuals after rounds of 76 and 81.

Hosting its annual Hal Sutton Invitational, Centenary shot a 26-over par 602 for the tournament and a 22-over 310 in the final round to finish as the runner-up behind team champion Blinn College. Senior Brodey Warner recorded the Gents' top finish of the tournament as he shot a 1-over par 145 to place fourth.

The University of Dallas men competed at the Texas Cup in Plano, Texas on Saturday and Sunday, finishing sixth out of 10 teams. Seth McNeil was UD's top golfer of the tournament finishing tied for 22nd place with a score of 152.
