Austin College's Frank, Trinity's Weaver Earn WBCA All-American Honors

ATLANTA - The 2018 WBCA NCAA Division III Coaches’ All-America team was announced by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Thursday and two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference players were recognized.

Bryce Frank of Austin College and Micah Weaver of Trinity University each earned Honorable Mention All-America honors. Both players previously earned D3hoops.com All-South Region recognition and were named the 2017-18 SCAC Co-Players of the Year.

Frank, a junior forward from Granbury, Texas, finished second in the conference with 18.2 points-per-game while also leading the SCAC in rebounding for the second year in a row, pulling down 10.3 rebounds-per-game. She also led the SCAC with a 53.4% field goal percentage, in addition to finishing fifth in assists-per-game with 3.2 per-game.

Weaver, a senior guard from Poth, Texas, led the conference with 19.5 points per game, while coming in just behind Frank in field goal percentage, shooting 51.2%. She was also fourth in the league from distance, shooting 40%. For the season, she totaled 70 steals and 87 assists, both rank top-four in the conference.
